POMODORI 2021 - cronaca del 4 aprile

Un pomodoro siciliano di cui non esiste ancora "letteratura", il Costoluto di Licata. Angelo Passalacqua di amicidellortodue, che mi ha regalato i semi, mi ha fatto sapere che tocca a me iniziarne una.

A new Sicilian tomato: Ribbed Tomato from Licata. There's no news nowhere about it, so I suppose I have to be the first to start a "literature".

ORTO 2021 - cronaca del 3 aprile

Complice un marzo insolitamente caldissimo, i pomodori sono già pronti per il trapianto in piena terra, ma preferisco aspettare perché è previsto un calo delle temperature.

VEGETABLE GARDEN 2021 - report of the 3rd of April

With the help of an unusual very hot March, my tomatoes are ready to be transplanted in open ground, but I prefer to wait because a drop in temperatures is expected (1).

Meanwhile the caroselli have already sprouted as well. The ones in the photo (2) are intented for the open ground whereas the Carosello Tondo Liscio di Manduria (3) will be transplanted in bigger square pots on the balcony.
